JAMMU, June 24: A lady allegedly tried to end her life by jumping from river Tawi bridge, falling under the jurisdiction of Nowabad police station.
As per police sources, a married woman namely Shallu Devi (20), daughter of Ramesh Chander of Miran Sahib allegedly tried to end her life by jumping from river Tawi bridge here today.
She received injuries and was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where she was undergoing treatment, when reports last came in.
A case in this regard has been registered at Nowabad police station and investigation started to ascertain the reason behind such extreme step.
