JAMMU, Mar 4: Six members of a family have been booked for assaulting their relative lady in Dhinday Kalan area of Miran Sahib. However, acting swiftly police arrested one of the assaulter.
As per police sources, a lady identified as Renu Devi, wife of Raj Kumar, a resident of Dhinday Kalan lodged a compliant with police station Miran Sahib stating that her husband’s brothers and their family members entered into her house and assaulted her by using sticks and other deadly weapons. The incident took place owing to some property issue.
The complainant named the assaulters as Girdhari Lal, son of Rama, a resident of Dhinday Kalan, his wife Puru Devi, his daughter Jundrah Bharti, Sapaul, brother of Girdhari Lal, his wife Rani Devi and daughter Arti Devi.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 41/16 under Section 452, 323, 147, 148, 149 and 427 RPC was registered at police station Miran Sahib and one of the assaulter identified as Girdhari Lal was arrested.
Manhunt was going on to nab other persons, who are involved in the case.
