Anti-encroachment drive launched

POONCH, Mar 4: Municipal authorities Poonch have launched anti-encroachment drive and also seized large number of goods of traders displayed on lanes and roads for causing inconvenience to the general public.
This special drive is continued for the last two days under the supervision of Chief Executive Officer of the Municipality Irshad Ahmed Sofi on the public complaints. It was alleged that even the traders and others park their bikes/ scooters etc on the road and lanes, causing disruption in free movement of the people. Some bikes were also lifted during the operation.
The team seized goods displayed in the lanes and roads by the traders and also recovered huge fine from the defaulters. The CEO also issued warning to the traders and asked them not to park bikes/ scooters in the lanes and roads, causing inconvenience to the general public. He said that this drive will be continued for some more days. A fine of more than Rs 24,000 has been recovered from the defaulters.
