JAMMU, Aug 17: Miran Sahib police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested two drug peddler including a lady and recovered heroin from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Miran Sahib Police Station laid a naka near Balole Bridge and intercepted an Alto car bearing registration number JK19-3435, which was coming from Jammu towards RS Pura.
During checking, police recovered 85 grams of heroin from the two persons traveling in the car and arrested them.
The arrested persons have been identified as Tosick Hussain, son fo Gulam Hussain, a resident of Bibrota, Tehsil Rajgarh, District Ramban and Laila Khalid, wife of Jaffar Hussain, a resident of District Kishtwar, at present Sunjwan Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 116/18 under Section 8/21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Miran Sahib and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Miran Sahib Inspector Ajit Singh and assisted by Incharge Police Post Kullian ASI Yougal Kishore made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Sourab Prashar, SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
