‘Lack of PG courses, hostel facilities in IMFA vexing students’

JAMMU, Nov 21: “Institute of Music and Fine Arts (IMFA) students are suffering for want of hostel facilities as well as for the beginning of Post Graduate (PG) courses in Jammu. In the absence of PG courses, several students, especially girls and the ones who can not afford higher studies outside the State, remain deprived of further studies and give up being just graduates. Moreover, the one who moves to other cities for higher studies face many difficulties in terms of accommodation, food, travel, comfort of home.
This was stated by Raman Suri, State Executive Member Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), who urged Lieutenant Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu to fulfil these pending demands of students who are suffering in the absence of PG courses as well as hostel facilities. He said none of the subjects in both Fine Arts as well as music offer PG course due to which students have to go to far off places for pursuing their higher studies.
