JAMMU, Nov 1: The Leh Apex Body (LAB) and Kargil Democratic Alliance (KDA) have called for protests in Leh and Kargil tomorrow in support of their long pending demands which they have already raised the Union Ministry of Home Affairs and other forums.

Call for the protests was given at a joint meeting of LAB and KDA in Leh recently which was reiterated by both the organizations today.
Addressing a press conference in Kargil, KDA leaders including Qamar Ali Akhoon and Asgar Ali Karbalaie announced that protest march will be taken out in Kargil after 1 PM tomorrow.
However, they clarified that there is no hartal call and the protest will be peaceful.
The protest will start from Jamia Masjid and ISK Chowk and conclude at Lal Chowk in Kargil.
The KDA leaders said the protest is being held as the Central Government has failed to fulfil their demands including Statehood to Ladakh, Constitutional safeguards separate Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha seats and early recruitment for the youth.
LAB leader Chering Dorjay, former Minister, said the protest in Leh will start from Stadium near Petrol Pump and conclude at Polo Ground.
The protest will be addressed by LAB senior leader Thupstan Chhewang, religious leaders, youth etc.
