SRINAGAR, Nov 1: Eleven medals have been confirmed for Jammu and Kashmir as the players sailed into the semi-finals round of the Sanda event of the 31st Senior National Wushu Championship, being organised at Sher-e-Kashmir Indoor Sports Complex, here today.
The players of the Union Territory who cruised into semi finals of the Sanda events are Haqeek Ahmed, Goutam, Abhishek Singh, Surya Bhanu Pratap, Owais Sarwar, Naveed, Showkat, Tanshiv Raina, Kamraan and Rajinder Singh.
In Taolu, nine events were organised on the Day 4.
In Jianshu (Men) event, SSCB won Gold, while Delhi secured Silver medal and AIP clinched Bronze medal, while in Jianshu (Women), Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh and Delhi secured top three medals respectively, and in Nandao (Men) event, SSCB won Gold & Silver medals, Punjab clinched Bronze medal.
In Nandao (Women), Manipur, CRPF and AIP clinched top three medals respectively, while in Shuangdao (Men), Punjab won Gold medal, ITBP won Silver and SSCB secured Bronze medals and in Shuangdao (Women), Kerala ( Gold) Jharkhand (Silver) and Maharashtra (Bronze), besides in Gunshu (Men), SSCB clinched Gold medal, AIP  won Silver and Rajasthan succeeded to win Bronze medal and in Gunshu (Women), top three medals were secured by Arunachal Pradesh, AIP and Manipur respectively.
In Nangun (Men), Punjab, Delhi and SSB secured top three medals respectively.
The chief guests of today’s presentation ceremony were Shivender Nair Dubey (Joint Secretary Wushu Association of India), Suhail Ahmad (CEO Wushu Association of India), Sopan Shankar Katke (Joint Secretary), Mushtaq Ahmad Zagar (Manager Bakshi Stadium), Maqsood Ahmad (Manager SKISC Stadium), Kishan Kumar (Project Officer SAI) and Sajad Ahmad, DySP (Volleyball Coach).
The closing ceremony of the ongoing 31st Senior National Wushu Championship will be held tomorrow at 5pm at SKISC Stadium Srinagar.
