JAMMU, May 16: Prominent businessman and Director Citizens Cooperative Bank Ltd Jammu, Kuldip Raj Gupta has been selected for prestigious ‘Bharat Jyoti Puraskar’ by the Global India Friendship Society for his services to the society.
The award will be conferred during a conference on `Economic Growth and National Integration’ at New Delhi in next few days. Prominent dignitaries from various fields as well as senior Government representatives will grace the occasion wherein awards will be given to those who have specialized in the fields like Science & Technology, Education, Industry, Fine Arts and social work.
Some prominent past recipients of the Bharat Jyoti Puraskar, include Mother Teresa, former Vice-President of India, B D Jatti, former Governors, Chief Ministers, Chief Justices, Election Commissioner, MPs like Muzaffar Hussain Beg, Dr Naresh Trehan, Olympic medalist Abhinav Bhindra, Dhanraj Pillay and others.
