JAMMU, May 5: Senior BJP leader and former Vice-Chairman, Pahari Advisory Board, Kuldeep Raj Gupta has urged Central Government to impose President’s rule in West Bengal.
Talking to reporters here, today Gupta urged the Government to take strict action against lawlessness that took place in Kolkata when Trinamool Congress (TMC) Students Wing vandalized the Saffron Party’s State office.
Condemning the entire incidents, Gupta put the onus on the Centre of taking due care of law and order in a State if the State Government fails to do so.
“Law and order is direct responsibility of the State Government and the Chief Minister is the head of that and the ruling party attack on the Opposition is the indication of the breakdown of the Constitutional machinery. This is a serious matter and the Centre should take the action which has plenty of powers under the Constitution, ” he added”.
Gupta said Mamata Banerjee played dirty politics and Gunda Raaj in West Bengal .So the Center Government should take cognizance of the situation and impose President’s rule in West Bengal to saves the State and innocent people.
