JAMMU, July 2: Krishna Cricket Club Akhnoor and YWCCC registered easy wins over their rivals in the ongoing KC Sports Club T20 Cricket Cup, being played on newly laid turf at KC Public School ground, here.
In the first match played today, Krishna Cricket Club Akhnoor thrashed Friends Cricket Club by 8 Wickets.
FCC won the toss and decided to bat first.
Batting first, FCC collapsed at 98 runs in 17.4 overs. Anshul and Aryan made 21 and 20 runs respectively. From Krishna Cricket Club, Sumit took 4 important wickets, while Deep and Rahul claimed 2 wickets each. Krishna Cricket Club chased the target in 9 overs by losing 2 wickets, thus won the match by 8 wickets. Deepak and Chandan scored 36 and 25 runs respectively.
From F CC, Aman and Aryan took 1 wicket each. Krishna Cricket Club won the match by 8 wickets.
In another match, YWCCC defeated Whites Cricket Club by a big margin of 78 runs. YWC CC won the toss and decided to bat first. YWCCC scored 148 runs in 20 overs. Robin and Rahul made 40 and 31 runs respectively. From WCC, Rahul and Mohit took 4 wickets each.
While chasing the target,WCC bundled out at meagre 70 runs. Zahid and Mohit were the only batsmen to cross double figure mark, making 26 and 11 runs respectively. From YWCCC, Sahil and Vishal took 3and 2 wickets respectively.
