KPs pay glowing tribute to Vaishnavi on his 10th death anniversary

Vyeth, Balidan Trust release late leader’s biography

JAMMU, July 1: Glowing tribute were paid to veteran K P leader and former president of All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference, Pt. Amarnath Vaishnavi on his 10 death anniversary here today.
In this connection functions were organised by various KP organisations to recall the services of late leader who was a staunch RSS activist since his childhood days and had taken active part in Praja Parishad Movement fighting for “Ek Vidhan , Ek Pradhan and Ek Nishan”.
Vyeth a social organisation led by Prof Virender Rawal observed the Day as Vaishnavi Diwas in association with Amar Balidan Trust.
Former Chief Secretary and MLC, Vijay Bakaya was the chief guest on the occasion. G L Raina also ex MLC and spokesperson BJP J&K and Prof.B.L.Zutshi President HESK were the guests of honour. Ramesh Hangloo president, Pir Panchal was the special guest.
On the occasion, a book entitled Chronicles of Kashmir Biography of Leader Amarnath Vaishnavi authored by Bal Krishen Sanyasi was released.
Vijay Bakaya in his nostalgic speech shared his long association with Vaishnavi. Bakaya said that Pt.Vaishanaviji proved to be a strong back bone for the community when unfortunate exodus in the year 1990 took place. In addition to the immediate relief and rehabilitation of the displaced community, Pt.Vaishnavi fought aggressively for the admissions of displaced youth in various professional institutions in and around the country.
In his address, G L Raina termed Vaishnavi a beacon of light and a man of very high calibre.
Prof.B.L.Zutshi president HESK, defined Pt.Vaishnavi more as an honest and upright social activist rather than a political man.
Ramesh Hangloo said that Vaishnavi was a great social worker and was institution in himself. Recalling the services rendered by Pt.Vaishnivi, A.K.Raina President Amar Balidan Trust Jammu termed him as a great human being and a staunch social reformer.
Later a young entrepreneur and a social activist Ajay Kak from Faridabad Haryana, was conferred with this year’s Vaishnavi Sammaan for his untiring services rendered to the whole society and community as well.
The programme was conducted by Ramesh Marhattha and vote of thanks was proposed by a PranPandita retired SSP.
Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) under the leadership of its president, Kundan Kashmiri also paid glowing tributes to Vaishnavi Ji at New Delhi.
While paying rich tributes  to the legendary leader Kundan Kashmiri said that  late A.N. Vaishnavi was an  unchallenged community  leader  who  had  innate qualities of moral courage, honesty, integrity, strong determination and boundless capacity to work for humanity in general and for displaced KPs in particular.
Other KPC leaders,  including Dr.HL Saraf, Tej Pandita, MK Raina, Susheel Bhat, RL Raina, Rajender Dhar and others  also paid  homage Vaishnavi.
All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) which was led by Vaishnavi for over two decades also paid glowing tributes to late leader under the chairmanship of its president, R K Wangnoo and highlighted his contribution and selfless service to the nation.
The ASKPC leaders who paid tributes to Vaishnavi including Prof Satish Bhan, Satish Ji, Veena Gurtoo, R L Koul, Ravi Raina, P K Bhat, Sanjay Bakshi, Ashok Dhar and others.
