KPs honours meritorious students of Class 12th

JAMMU, Aug 13: Detailing out the contribution of the Kashmiri Pandit Sabha (KPS) Jammu in preservation of culture and identity of the Kashmiri Pandit community, K K Khosa, its president exhorted the community students to inculcate a spirit of philanthropy to help such sections of the society who are not in a position to acquire higher studies due to adverse family circumstances and paucity of funds. Khosa, who presided over a function organized by the Sabha in order to honour the Class 12th meritorious students of the community here, today urged the students to choose their future stream of education carefully and take up finance, administration, environment, law, humanities etc as the new areas where a bright future can be shaped.
On the occasion 41 students who scored above 95 percent marks in BOSE and those who emerged meritorious in CBSE were honoured among whom Shiveet Raina was having highest percentage with 99.6 percent marks.
Dr. Ashok Bhan former ADGP who was the chief guest on the occasion while lauding the efforts of the students who got very high marks also exhorted them to choose new lines for carrier progression in this new age India apart from traditional educational courses. He further said that India now has 3rd highest number of start ups in world and brilliant students should accordingly try to be a part of this development. He stressed the need for pursuing Civil Service course as well as Higher Education and Research.
Meritorious students namely Shiveet Raina, Diya Tickoo, Palak Marhatta, Sneha Bhat, Utkarsha Pandita, Saransh Bhat, Akshita Bhasin, Kamakshi Bhat, Ayush Pandita, Arushi Zutshi, Manish, Chirag Raina, Sakit Dhar, Ritesh Raina, Rydhum Ganjoo, Aniya Koul, Sushant Dhar, Sejal Raina, Ayushi Bhat, Yashasvi Mattoo, Garima Bhat, Diya Bhat, Mahima Suri, Amrish Koul, Kesar Haksar, Anshi Bhat, Diksha Mirza, Tanishka Tickoo, Sidhi Bhat, Akshay Kumar Kachroo, Amrit Koul, Anushka Bhat, Mansi Raina, Vishal Raina, Lakshit, Kartik Bhat, Aditya Raina, Sneha Koul, Kanish Khah, Nitin, Pandita, Suvrat Koul were given cash prize, trophies and certificates.
