JAMMU, Apr 28: A meeting of social and political activists and prominent Kashmiri Pandtis was held at Sharda Mandir Bantalab near here, today under the leadership of Margdarshak Moti Lal Malla an RSS ideologue and senior KP leader.
Brij Lal Bhat president Vivekanand Kendra Nagdandi Anantnag Kashmir and R.L.Bhat prominent writer shared dais as guests of honour. The agenda of meeting was to give the platform a structural shape in the light of decision taken in district representatives meeting held on March 29 regarding reviving of All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) the Apex body of the community .
Sunderi Lal Koul deliberated on issues pertaining to community and threw the agenda open for feedback. The speakers stressed that this platform should work in accordance with the aspirations of the community the unity among different cadres and ideological groups should remain it’s main focus. it was also suggested that there should be a group comprising of one representative from each district of Kashmir and also some eminent social activists who would be called as district level Marg Darshaks given responsibility to reach KP community members one and all for gaining their support.
Further it was also suggested that an Advisory Committee should also be framed comprising of eminent intellectuals and social activists for coordinating with Marg Darshaks on future course of action.
After discussion and deliberation that Sundri Lal Koul read out names of District Margdarshaks for 10 districts nominated by their district committees,. One lady member Shoky Lidhoo was also nominated as in charge Women Wing Marg Darshak . In addition to it 20 Member Advisory Committee and media team was also nominated
Various prominent speakers deliberated on the working of group who included P L Sudeshi, Prof G L Koul, Pran Nath Pandita retd (SSP), Comrade Mohan Lal, C L Bhat, Shardanandan etc . It was decided in the meeting that groups shall work under the leadership of Margdarshak Moti Lal Malla.
All speakers were of the opinion that the committee shall work on ad-hoc basis till election process is completed. Further it was decided to keep option open for dialogue with other community social organisations desirous to join this platform.
Hira Lal Bhat a socio-political activist termed cancellation of M Forms a victory for the community and highlighted the role played by socio -politcal activists in this regard While Kuldeep Kashmiri termed the cancellation of order on ration coupons a victory of community youth and stressed on unity. M K Yogi while extending full support to the initiative stressed on avoiding unnecessary controversies.
