Dr ML Dogra honoured with “Rashtriya Pratibha Samman”

New Delhi, Apr 28: Dr M L Dogra, an Indian theatre multifaceted personality and scholar of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory known for bringing creative Dogri and Hindi theatre Musical plays internationally was honoured with “Rashtriya Pratibha Samman” here today.
The award ceremony was organized by Golden Sparrows & Shrimati Narayani Devi Agarwal Charitable Trust at Teen Murti Bhavan, New Delhi. The Chief Guest of the event was Sudha Chandran, famous Bollywood Actress and Indian Bharatanatyam Dancer.
Ishwar Kishan Lal Agarwal, Chairman Srimati Narayandevi Agarwal Charitable Trust, Swami Virendranand Maharaj, Mahamandleshwar Shri Panchdash Naam Juna Akhada, Swami Rajeshwranand Maharaj, Chairman Shree Rajmata Jhadewala Mandir Samuh, Sonam Yonden , Head Monk, Thrangu Vajra Vidya Institute ,Sarnath, Dr Karthik Ramesh, CEO of Sentinel AI ML Labs , Global Innovation leader, Dr Pushpendra Pratap Singh , County Head – Asia Shipping, Pavel Garg, Chairman – Combitic pharmaceuticals were present as the Guest of Honour.
The Chief Guest appreciated awardees for their services and felicitated them with golden medals, certificate and trophy. The statement said Dr. Dogra is a true legendary icon undoubtedly for performing Art; his exceptional and exemplary work would be a source of inspiration to the younger generation. In his 50 years contribution to theatre he has written more than 300 lyrical plays, many Books, Articles for newspapers on Cultural Heritage of India and more than 2000 Songs recorded in Dogri and Hindi languages.
Dr Dogra was born in 1948 in a small mountain village in Seen Thakran, Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir. He was honoured with a PHD in performing Art and Education, by the Vishvakarma University from the MHRD, Government of India 2021.
