JAMMU, Mar 10: While welcoming the deferment of Assembly poll in the State, Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) today said that the continuation of President’s rule in the State of Jammu & Kashmir is need of the hour in view of political uncertainty, increase in militancy and violent incidents in the Valley.
KPC president, Kundan Kashmiri in a statement issued here, today said the people of the State in general welcomed the imposition of the Governor’s rule in the State right from the day when politicians fail to run the Government as per provisions of the Constitution.
He said the people have now high hopes from the Governor’s dispensation as Governor Satya Pal Malik has got good experience and it is expected that he will bring the State out of the present mess and will to some extent establish rule of law and improve the security situation in the sensitive militancy affected State.
