JAMMU, Mar 10: Rain Drop Pre-School celebrated Annual Day with enthusiasm by organising colourful cultural event at Govt College for Women Gandhi Nagar, here today.
Purnima Sharma, Deputy Mayor of Jammu Municipal Corporation was the chief guest on the occasion, while Pramod Kaphai, Corporator Ward No-14 and Chandeep Singh, Engineering student was the guest of honour.
The programme begin with the lighting of the traditional lamp by the chief guest and other dignitaries, which was followed by presentation of bouquets.
The Principal of the school Mokshi Mahajan, in her address gave a detailed view of the progress made by the school.
An impressive and culturally rich programme of activities comprising of dances rein forced by relevant songs was presented by the small kids which really enthralled the audience.
The main highlight of the function was a performance given by the small kids as a tribute to the Pulwama martyrs. Two minutes silence was also observed to pay homage to the martyrs.
Addressing the gathering, Deputy Mayor emphasized on the importance of a mother in the life of a child for developing good habits.
The chief guest urged upon the teaching fraternity to imbibe moral values among the learners.
