NEW DELHI, Jan 29: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) in a meeting held here stated nationalist forces , in particular KPs are of firm belief that the Article 370 is impeding democracy to flourish in J&K State. It is most unfortunate that the Parliament of India has shut the doors of democracy for the minorities in J&K by sticking a stone wall in the name of Article 370 which was inserted in 1950.
KPs are confident that so–called Kashmir issue can be solved only with one flag, one constitution and fundamental rights for every one from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.
KPC Chief expressed gratitude, love and admiration for the people of minority community in the Kashmir Valley who with their nationalist resolve, always raised Tricolour in Kashmir, expressed solidarity with the India and rejected the two-nation theory , double standard and fundamentalist attitude of Kashmiri Muslim leadership.
He said that the Parliament of India failed to realize the spirit of the nationalist people of J&K and also failed to understand the social and political aspirations of the Kashmiri Pandits, Jammuities and Ladakhi people. Article 370 was put as a death knell for nationalist people, in particular KPs by the Union of India after raising a Constitutional wall between Kashmir and rest of India.
Leadership of India has till date failed to understand the volcanoes hidden under this temporary provision Article 370.
Further while demanding the separate Kashyap Bhoomi for the Kashmiri Pandits, Kundan Kashmiri said that the volcanoes have been smouldering for the last three decades and KPs the true nationalist of India are out of their homes .
Let Parliament and the people of India understand the grievous injury caused to the nationalist people of J&K State, in particular to victim KP community by keeping it out of the scope of the Indian Constitution and Fundamental Rights which are enjoyed by every Indian except Kashmiri Pandits in exile from the last 28 years.
