JAMMU, Apr 5: KP Joint Action organized a meeting of its newly constituted Advisory Council here, today. The Advisory Council came into effect as a sequel to the recently formed KP Joint Action which has taken upon itself to carry forward the important mission of the ‘comprehensive political agenda’. The meeting was chaired by Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, Chairman, KP Joint Action and also attended by senior leaders R.K.Bhat and Virender Raina.
The prominent community members who were inducted in the Advisory Council comprises H.N.Jattu, A.K.Dewani, J.L.Kaul, Prof. A.K.Ogra, Prof. R.L.Kaul, R.K.Raina, Vijay Kashkari, Comrade Mohan Lal, Mororji Kaul, Sardar KCS Mehta, Gokul Dembi, M.K.Jalali, K.L.Bhat, M.K.Raina, Sundari Lal Kaul, J.L.Bamzai, M.N.Pandit, Kiran Jee Dhar and Shiban Krishen Kaul. H.N Jattu was given the responsibility of the chairman of the Advisory Council and it was decided to hold periodic review meeting of the Council.
In his address Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, who is also president of Panun Kashmir briefed the members regarding the activities of the KP Joint Action. He said that the role of the Advisory Council would be very important in terms of the collective experience and wisdom of the members and we would look forward to a synergistic functioning between the Central Committee and the Advisory Council. He also laid emphasis on the fundamental contours of the Comprehensive Political Agenda.
H.N.Jattu, stressed upon the need for a common platform like KP Joint Action and said that this initiative has given him a solace in the context that the struggle in exile has reached into safe hands.
A.K.Dewani, said that the KP Joint Action has to take the struggle to the broader canvass to involve younger generation in the struggle.
R.K.Bhat, president, Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj expressed the hope that with the involvement of the prominent personalities present in the meeting, the KP Joint Action has walked an extra mile in its struggle.
Virender Raina, suggested that the members of the Advisory Council may also address the issues relating to the socio-cultural upliftment of the Kashmiri Pandit community and in this regard, a three member committee was asked to work on this project.
