KKHMS, KKYS, DKUYU hold meet, project issues

JAMMU, July 1: Kashmiri Khatri Hindu Maha Sabha (KKHMS), Kashmiri Khatri Yuvak Sabha (KKYS) and Displaced Kashmiri Unemployed Youth Union (DKUYU) held a meeting under the chairmanship of  Er Ramesh Chander Mahajan.
In the meeting, various demands and burning problems related to Kashmiri khatri migrant community were discussed.
While speaking, Mahajan said that Prime Minister’s new 15 points programme for minority status demands for an equitable share for minorities in economic activities besides their education empowerment and employments.
He demanded formulation and implementation of scholarship schemes, special consideration in recruitment services, nationalized bank, on the spot drive in central police force, railways, public sector enterprises and private recognized sector enterprises, scholarship to those whose family’s income is below poverty line upto Rs 5.50 lakh and Naya Sevara Scheme for providing coaching and allied schemes in Government institutions as well as private coaching.
Majahan also demanded Nai Mazil Scheme of skill in National Council for Vocational Training and Skill Training, 50 per cent reserved seats for Kashmiri hindus and migrant students with 40 per cent marks relaxation, Swarn Jayati Shahari Rojgar Yojana scheme, integrated various development schemes for camps and Jagti township camps and improvement in living standard of minority Kashmiri hindus and migrants community.
