JAMMU, Aug 18: The University of Jammu today enjoyed the glimpse of colourful kites while listening to music during a kite flying festival organized by Department of Students Welfare on the occasion of Janamashtami at Old Campus, JU.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice-Chancellor, JU, Professor Mohan Paul Singh Ishar said “On this festive day, let us re-dedicate ourselves to the pursuit of peace, cooperation and mutual goodwill among all sections of our diverse society” .The University officials and employees gathered to celebrate this happy occasion.
Among  others, present on the occasion included  Prof Pankaj Srivastava, Dean Students Welfare, Prof Parmeshwari Sharma, Chairperson  Campus Cultural Committee, Prof S S Jamwal, HoD History,  Jai Kumar Sharma, Special Secretary to VC, Prof Sameer Gupta, Dr Prakash Anathal, Director, Patnitop Campus, Dr Lalitsen, Dr Vinay Chauhan , Dr  Ab  Rashid Manhas, Dr  Yudhbir Singh, Assistant Dean (SW),  Vinay Thusoo, PRO,  Heads of various departments, faculty members, officers, staff and students.
