Kissan Council for action against land mafia

JAMMU, Nov 26: The Kissan Council National Panthers Party (NPP) has accused the police of adopting the lenient approach against the land grabbers in Domana area who are harassing the people and grabbing their land by force.
Talking to reporters here today Yash Paul Singh Manhas State secretary of the Council said that in case the higher police officers fail to intervene in the matter and act against the land mafia the Kissan Council will be forced to come to streets and launch a massive agitation
He, while decrying the role of police said that with its failure to act against the land mafia in the area the musclemen have spread a reign of terror and are involved in grabbing the land of the people at various places.
Criticizing the police he said the police is not even entertaining the complaints of the people whose land has been encroached by land mafia not to speak of taking action against them.
He in an appeal urged the authorities to take action against the land mafia and restore the Government and private land encroached by them failing which Kissan Council will launch agitation.
