Kishmish weakens on reduced offtake

NEW DELHI, Dec 17:  Kishmish prices declined by Rs 100 per 40 kg in the national capital today owing to reduced offtake by retailers and stockists amid low demand from bulk consumers.
Adequate stocks on increased arrivals from producing areas also put pressure on the select dry fruit prices.
Kishmish Indian yellow and green prices were down by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 2,800-4,500 and Rs 4,000-9,000 per 40 kg, respectively.
Marketmen said, reduced offtake by stockists and low demand from bulk consumers amid increased arrivals from producing areas, mainly pulled down kishmish prices at the dry fruit market.
Following are today’s quotations (per 40 kgs):
Almond (California) Rs 15,700-15,900, Almond(Gurbandi-new) Rs 11,800-12,000, Almond (Girdhi) Rs 5,500-5,600; Abjosh Afghani Rs 5,000-22,000.
Almond Kernel (California-new) Rs 570-580 per kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) Rs 725-825 per kg. (PTI)
