JAMMU, Aug 9: The owner of a Kiryana shop was arrested today by Arnia police for selling liquor illegally in his shop.
“On specific information, Surinder Choudhary, SDPO R S Pura, conducted a raid in a Kiryana store belonging to a man identified as Madan Lal of Arnia, at Arnia and recovered 15 J&K Excise pouches (frooties) from the shop”, a police spokesman said, adding the accused, who was openly selling liquor pouches in his shop, was arrested.
“In this connection, a case FIR No 74/2017 under Section 48 A Excise Act has been registered in police station Arnia”, he further said. The arrest and recovery was made under the supervision of SP Headquarters Jammu, Romesh Chander Kotwal.
