JAMMU, May 31:Kiranjeet Kour has been elected as provincial president of All Jammu and Kashmir Plus 2 Lecturers Forum, as results of the organizational elections were declared this evening.
She defeated her nearest rival Dr Kishore Sharma with a margin of 155 votes. Kiranjeet got 1128 votes while Dr Kishore secured 973 votes.
For the post of provincial vice president (Male), Anil Kumar Sharma defeated Dr Shiraz Ahmed by a margin of 350 votes. Sushma Rani defeated Poonam Gandotra for the post of provincial vice president (Female) by getting 1395 votes. Poonam Gandotra got 1172.
For the post of provincial general secretary, R S Slathia defeated K S Charak by getting 1347 votes. Charak got 954 votes. Sanjay Bhagat got 1297 vote and defeated Som Nath for the post of chief organizer.
In the contest for district presidents, Pardeep Singh defeated Tilak Raj and was elected for the post of Jammu district president. In District Doda, Dr Anis Ahmed defeated Kailash Kumar by margin of 234 votes.
For the post of Samba district president, Lok Sewak defeated Dr Ashok Kumar while
Jatinder Sethi defeated Yograj Singh in Kathua district. In Udhampur district, Ashok Kumar Sharma was elected by defeating Rajesh Sharma. Romesh Kumar defeated Masood Hussain Qazi for the post of district president of Kishtwar. In Ramban district, Abdul Rashid Giri defeated Mudhasar Ahmed Wani while for district Poonch, Imtiyaz Qazi defeated Amjad Ali. Fazal Hussain and Subash Chander were declared un-opposed from districts Rajouri and Reasi respectively.
The counting of votes was done today under the authority of election commission comprising of Principals Subash Chander, Roshan Lal Gupta, Ram Parkash Sharma and Sr Lecturer Pardeep Singh Baloria and Lecturer Rakesh Gupta.
The election of All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers’ Forum was held on May 23 in which 85 percent polling was recorded.
