JAMMU, June 6: Police rescued a kidnapped minor girl and arrested the abductor.
As per police sources, on May 29 this year, a family members lodged a complaint with Police Station Bahu Fort stating that their 13-year-old daughter has been kidnapped by Hamid Hussain, son of Abdul Shakoor of Burma, at present Marathi Mohallah Trikuta Nagar.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 137/2020 under section 363 IPC was registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and hunt was launched to rescue the kidnapped girl and arrest the abductor.
On specific information, a team from Bahu Fort Police Station conducted raid and rescued the girl. However, the accused tried to escape from the spot but was arrested by the cops.
The girl was handed over to legal heirs after medical examination.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
