Kidnapped class 12th student rescued, accused arrested

JAMMU, Apr 6: Gharota police rescued a class 12th student from Madhya Pradesh and arrested the accused.
As per police sources, few days back, family members lodged a complaint with Police Station Gharota stating that their daughter, who studies in class 12th has been kidnapped by Rakesh Kumar of Kalri, Kot Bhalwal.
Acting over the complaint, a case under relevant Sections was registered at Gharota Police Station and hunt was launched to rescue the kidnapped girl and arrest the accused.
During the course of investigation, teams from Gharota Police Station conducted raids in several areas of Jammu and neighbouring states and finally rescued the kidnapped the girl from Ratlam area of Madhya Pradesh.
On seeing police cops, the accused tried to escape, but cops nabbed him after a brief chase.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Gharota Inspector Gurmeet Singh rescued the kidnapped girl and arrested the accused under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Munish Anand, SP Rural Shivdeep Singh Jamwal and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
