JAMMU, July 22: Kashmiri Hindu Conference (KHC) today said that Government should take some extra steps in curbing the disruptive forces in Kashmir Valley who are fortifying their position to weaken the nationalist forces in the Valley.
In a joint statement issued here today KHC, chief, advocate M L Thusoo and its convener P L Koul Badgami said the situation in Kashmir is disturbing and the anti national and anti social elements are hell bent to threaten the unity and integrity of nation and exploit the sentiments of masses. They said that the Government should make it clear to disruptive forces that no such action will be tolerated which will be inimical to national interests.
The two leaders also appealed the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah to submit his Government’s resignation to Governor when the coalition dharma of the two alliance partners has broken. Such a step will be in the larger interests of the people of the State, they added.
They said that Assembly elections should be held under the Governor’s rule.
