JAMMU, Apr 16: Senior BJP leader and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), Gulam Ali Khatana today said that Sankalp Patra/Ghoshna Patra (election manifesto) of BJP released by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has committed to keep the nation and its people safe from terrorism and other destructive activities.
While addressing a rally of Union Home Minister, Amit Shah in Jammu, Khatana said: “PM Modi led Government during its last 10 years of rule has taken a firm stand to protect the country and its people from the threats of terrorism and naxalism by following a zero tolerance policy on terrorism.”
He said that BJP manifesto 2024 promised for the establishment of Military Theatre Commands for more efficient operations to safeguard the nation and its people.
The BJP leader further said that the manifesto assured to accelerate development of robust infrastructure along Sino-Indo, Indo-Pak and Indo-Myanmar borders and introduction of technological solutions on fenced portions to make fencing smarter.
He also said that in the chapter ‘Surakshit Bharat’ in the manifesto mentioned about revocation of Article 370 leading to a significant reduction in violence in J&K and enactment of Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita which focuses on justice instead of punishments.
Khatana said that the ‘Sankalp Patra’ highlighted the achievements of 10 years of BJP Government at the Centre and said PM Modi has delivered on every promise he made so far.
He said that in the last 10 years BJP has implemented every aspect of its manifesto as a guarantee and informed that the ‘Sankalp Patra’ strengthens four strong pillars of Viksit Bharat—Yuva Shakti, Nari Shakti, poor and farmers.
“Through the manifesto BJP promised to regulate and monitor Bharat’s cyber protection agencies and infrastructure besides development and implementation of robust cyber security policies,” the MP maintained adding: “It also expressed commitment towards eliminating the threat of drugs in the society, especially among young citizens, through a series of technical, legal and intelligence programmes.”
He said that in manifesto the BJP has promised to leverage Big Data analytics, Artificial Intelligence, drones and satellite imagery to detect and dismantle drug trafficking networks effectively and to consolidate country’s position and commitment to seeking permanent membership in the UN Security Council.
