LG admin pushing BJP agenda in J&K

JAMMU, Aug 3: The J&K National Conference has expressed deep concerns over the alleged involvement of the LG-led administration in pushing the agenda of the BJP at the cost of public exchequer in Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing a meeting of Party workers of Samba district in connection with the upcoming ULB polls at party office here today, Provincial president, Rattan Lal Gupta raised his apprehensions about the administration’s concerns. He alleged that this administration is serving the interests of the BJP rather than prioritizing the welfare of the public. He raised questions about the usage of public funds and the potential implications it may have on the overall development and well-being of the region.
Gupta expressed dissatisfaction over the administration’s apparent disregard for elected representatives while making decisions on public issues, citing the imposition of Property tax in J&K as an example where elected representatives of Municipal Corporations, Municipal Councils and Muncipalities were sidelined. He stressed that the implementation of the illegally imposed Property tax should be kept in abeyance until a democratically elected Government is in place in Jammu and Kashmir.
Satwant Kour Dogra Provincial president Women Wing asserted that the National Conference stands firm in its commitment to safeguard the interests of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and pledged to work tirelessly to address the grievances faced by the general public.
Saudagar Gupta, District president of NC for Samba, highlighted the hardships faced by the people of district Samba, including the lack of basic amenities such as regular water and electricity supply.
