KDF highlights demands

JAMMU, Dec 27: Kashmiri Displaced Forum (KDF) Jagti Township in its meeting today elected A K Sadhu as its chairman.
The meeting was also addressed by Vijay Kaul  who highlighted various problems of camp inmates.
Mr Sadhu in his address appealed the authorities to solve the problems of the Jagti camp inmates immediately which included renovation of quarter roofs , bath rooms, rooms and pipes. He also demanded that a cleanliness drive be launched in the township where there is lot of unhygienic condition and insanitation. The garbage dumps lying scattered be removed with restoration of link road from Kandoli Mandir to Jagti Camp. The most of the street lights are not functioning which create difficulties for the inmates to move during night hours.
In the meeting it was also impressed upon RTO to arrange the more Government transport busses in peak hours of the morning and in the evening. The people face problems due to overloading in private matadors, he added.
