JAMMU, Nov 13: Mohita Sharma– a J&K Cadre IPS officer has become second crorepati of Sony TV programme Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) Season 12.
Sony TV released the first promo which shows Mohita winning the coveted Rs 1 crore prize money. Sony TV revealed that IPS officer Mohita Sharma is the second crorepati of this season. The episode featuring her big win will air on November 17.
In the video, we see Amitabh Bachchan asking the contestant to proceed with caution as the Rs 1 crore question approaches. The woman confidently says that whatever prize money she wins, she would feel happy about playing a good game when she would go to sleep at night.
After this, we get a glimpse of Mohita’s victory as Big B in his inimitable style announces “ek crore”. The contestant becomes emotional after giving the correct answer. The promo then shows Mohita proceeding towards the 16th question for Rs 7 crore jackpot.
The official Instagram handle of Sony TV shared the promo on Instagram. The post read, “Mohita Sharma, an IPS officer is #KBC12’s second crorepati! Watch her attempt the #Sawaal7CroreKa in #KBC12 on 17th Nov 9 pm only on Sony (sic).”
While we see Amitabh Bachchan asking Mohita Sharma to think hard about the Rs 7 crore question as very few people get a chance to reach that stage, it remains to be seen whether she manages to win the prize money and make history or not. It will be revealed on November 17 at 9 pm.
In an exclusive conversation with Excelsior, Mohita said that she got inspiration for participating in KBC from her husband, who always wanted to participate in and crack the show. “Since Junior KBC started, he kept trying for participation in the show but all his hard work went in vain. But I am thankful to the God that I became the means to fulfill his dream,” the IPS officer added.
The 2017-batch police officer is posted in Bari Brahmana in Samba district. Married to Rushal Garg, Assistant Conservator of Forests (an Indian Forest Service officer), Mohita Sharma also enjoys cooking and singing. She is also quite a traveller, and her Instagram profile give an insight into her fun side, which is in contrast to her serious exterior. Impressed by her brave profession and affable personality, host Amitabh Bachchan even started following her on social media.
