JAMMU, Feb 23: Apni Trade Union president, Ajaz Kazmi strongly condemned the use of force by J&K Police on PHE daily wagers during their peaceful protest in Gandhi Nagar.
Extending support to these protesters, Kazmi said that the PHE daily wagers were protesting for their demand which should have been accepted by the Government.
“Why is there no policy for their regularization,” he asked demanding regularization of PHE daily wagers without any delay.
In a handout he said that families of daily wagers have been suffering financially with no hope for their regularization which has added to their frustration.
“The Government should frame a policy for regularization of daily wagers, implementation of Minimum Wage Act in J&K and release the pending salary of these workers,” he maintained.
