Fire guts 2 residential houses in Sonwar

Srinagar, Feb 23: Two residential houses were gutted in a fire incident in the Palpora area of Sonwar in Srinagar during the intervening night of February 22-23
The officials of Fire & Emergency Services said that two residential houses belonging to Mohammad Farooq Parray, Farooq Ahmad Parray and Bilal Ahmad Parray were gutted in the fire incident.
They said that while two 3-storied residential houses were involved in the fire causing partial damage to one, the second one has been severely damaged.
They said that the time of calls was 1:13 am and soon after that, the fire tenders rushed to the spot to douse down the flames. “The men from the department from fire stations M. A. Road, Gowkadal, Headquarters, along with the help of the locals were able to douse the flames down after strenuous efforts,” they said.
In the incident, there was no loss of life reported while the cause of the fire has been given as an electric shot circuit.
