Srinagar, Feb 23: Police in Budgam today said to have arrested 1 more person and seized 2 more vehicles in connection with case FIR number 28/2022 pertaining to busting of an Inter-District Gang of vehicle lifters.
Earlier, in this case, 4 accused persons were arrested while 13 stolen vehicles were recovered.
During the investigation of the said case police said, two more stolen vehicles with fabricated registration numbers were recovered from the Waterihail area of Budgam, taking the toll of recovered stolen vehicles to 15.
“The vehicles include White colour Alto K10 bearing registration number JK08F-6559 & Granite Grey colour Baleno bearing registration number DL7CQ-8839. Moreover, one more accused person identified as Shabir Ahmad Rather son of Ab Karim Rather resident of Watrhail Budgam has been arrested and has been shifted to the police station where he remains in custody,” police said.
The investigation of the case is still going on police said, and that more arrests and recoveries of stolen vehicles in the instant case are expected.
