Kavinder, Vikram start various works in Gandhi Nagar constituency

JAMMU, Feb 11: Former Deputy Chief Minister & senior BJP leader Kavinder Gupta along with MLC Vikram Randhawa started various works in Ward-20 and Ward-48 in Gandhi Nagar Constituency, here. Councillor from Ward-20 Rahul Kumar, Vinay Gupta, Ankush Gupta, Pitamber Sharma, Rajesh Khullar, Vijay Verma, Rachit Khosla, Sandeep Gupta, Arun, Rohin Chandran, Vijay Choudhary, Kapil Khurana and officials from floriculture among other prominent persons of the area were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Kavinder Gupta said that the work on the walking path have been started in the green belt park for the morning walkers which was long pending demand of the residents of the adjoining areas. He said already the work on the toilet complex is under process in the park along with an open gym as well.
He said the Modi Government wants to discourage open defecation and arrangements are being made to promote hygienic toilets in the area, adding that after completion of the work of the path, the park will be having all the facilities for the welfare of the residents of the area.
Later, Kavinder along with Randhawa started work on much awaited WSS for the residents as after completion of work the people of whole of the Old Sheikh Nagar and adjoining areas of Ward-48 will be supplied with the required water supply.
This project is being executed by the PHE Department.
Speaking on the occasion, Gupta said that Government is committed to provide all basic amenities like adequate drinking water, power, education, healthcare facilities and other civic facilities to the people of all the three regions of the State especially the areas where there is shortage of water supply.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Councillor Sharda Kumari, Sunil Sharma, Dalbir Singh, Vivek Patyal, Sunny Sangotra, Ankush Sharma and other local party workers.
While speaking on the occasion, Vikram Randhawa congratulated the residents of the area on the start of the WSS and said BJP is committed to the equitable development of the state. He said BJP believes in delivering the facilities on ground and unlike opposition parties doesn’t indulge in vote politics.
