BCC wins Shaheed Sethi Ram Cricket Tournament

JAMMU, Feb 11: A Cricket Tournament was organised by the local youth of Tehsil Bishnah in loving memory of late Shaheed Sethi Ram, Sub Inspector JKP, who attained Martyrdom at Shopian in July 2009.
The final match was played between RRCC and BCC, in which BCC emerged winner by 65 runs.
Ranjeet Kalra, Advisor for Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of Lakshadweep was the chief guest on the occasion, while prominent Social Worker Ashok Dubey, SDPO Saurab Prasher and SHO Rajesh Sharma were the guests of honour.
Prominent citizens and sportspersons of the area also attended the Prize Distribution Function.
The family members of the Shaheed were also honoured on the occasion by the prominent citizens.
The match final was played between the RRCC & BCC in which BCC scored 218 runs in 16 overs. Reshav Fotra top scored with 104 runs off just 50 balls, while Motton scored 65 runs off just 29 balls. Sahil Kumar and Anil also contributed 41 and 20 runs respectively
In reply, RRCC managed to score 165 in 16 overs to lose the match by a big margin.
Sandeep, Deepak and Sourab contributed 30, 27 and 20 runs respectively. Abhi, Muna and Rohit took 2 wickets each. Reshav Fotra was adjudged as the man of the match for his brilliant century.
The tournament was organized by the Organising Committee under the chairmanship of Er Sushant Gupta.
