Kavinder reviews progress on development works

JAMMU, Nov 10: Speaker  Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta today inspected the pace of progress on various development works undertaken in Chatha and Bhour Camp areas.
The Speaker took detailed review of the quality and nature of the works and stressed on timeline completion of these vital public utilities.
The Speaker, while inspecting the tiling work being undertaken in Government Higher Secondary School Bhour Camp under MGNREGA at the estimated cost of Rs 5 lakh, directed the executing agency to ensure that this work is completed at the earliest to minimize the inconvenience to the students.
Kavinder also took stock of construction work on the 1 km stretch of road connecting Chatha Morh and Chatha Stand. He directed the executing agency to speed up the work and ensure that the road is opened to the public at the earliest
Later, Kavinder Gupta released two books titled ‘Prakriti ki Goud Mein’, a collection of poems in Hindi and ‘Sochen Di Gehrai’, a collection of Dogri short stories written by the local writer Saroj Bala.
The Speaker said that these achievements of young writers would motivate and encourage more people, especially students to explore their creative talents and   take up writing as a profession.
The function was jointly organised by Nav Durga Kala Manch and Samooh Theater and saw attendance by many prominent citizens including renowned writers, poets and other artists.
