JAMMU, Apr 21: Speaker Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta today inspected ongoing construction and beautification works on gardens and parks in Gandhi Nagar constituency.
While inspecting the ongoing works on gardens and parks at Babliana, Gangyal and New Dashmesh Nagar, the Speaker directed the concerned to take all necessary steps for completing the projects within the fixed timelines.
He directed the officers of concerned authorities to properly check and monitor the quality of the material used in the projects. He also inspected other recreational material being installed in the parks for enjoyment of the children in the gardens and parks.
Kavinder said that a massive programme for beatification of Gandhi Nagar constituency has also been launched under which various parks and gardens are being revitalized for the welfare of the people.
He said the Government is focusing on creating maximum number of gardens and parks in the left out and neglected areas so that people can reduce their day to day life stress.
He also called upon the locals to take part in developmental activities being carried out in their respective areas so that quality of the works on all ongoing welfare programmes can be maintained.
