Kavinder inaugurates awareness camp by JUDA

JAMMU: Speaker, J&K Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta, today inaugurated an awareness camp cum Mela organized by Jammu Urban Development Agency (JUDA) at Jammu.

MLA Rajesh Gupta was the guest of honor on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, the Speaker urged upon the people to avail maximum benefit of schemes meant for their welfare. He applauded the efforts of JUDA for organizing mass awareness programmes to benefit the people. To ensure the favorable execution of any welfare scheme, there is a need for taking it to the doorstep of its beneficiary, the Speaker asserted.

The Speaker exhorted upon the concerned officials for proper implementation of various welfare schemes of the government to ensure that the benefit reach the deserving.

Giving a detailed information on schemes meant for the poor and marginalised sections of the society, Chief Executive officer, JUDA, Kul Bhushan Khajuria elaborated the central sponsored schemes for the betterment of urban poor under National Urban Livelihood Mission (NULM) and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Housing for All (PMAY-HFA).

Later, the dignitaries presented commendation certificates to the Community Officers Kuldeep Raj, Rajni Devi, Suman Sharma and to Assistant Project Officers Tinna Sharma besides Archana Bhat for their outstanding performances.

Meanwhile, on spot registration of 500 beneficiaries under different components was done on the occasion.

Executive Officers of Municipal Committees of Jammu and  Samba districts and district Co-ordinators of banks and staff of Jammu Urban Development Agency were present on the occasion.
