Kavinder Gupta visits PDE University

AHMADABAD, June 3: Former Dy.CM and senior BJP leader, Kavinder Gupta visited Pandit Deendayal Energy University in Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat and discussed ways to reduce dependence on petroleum and find alternative sources of energy.
Gupta was received by Prof. Nigam Dave, Director of Liberal Studies, Prof. Pradeep Mallik, Dr. Harmik Vaishnav, Dr. Venkat Ram Reddy and Dr. Sriram Divi. Speaking on the occasion Kavinder said that the University is designed by the amalgamation of technology, management and humanities.
He talked about the need for transition from a petroleum-based economy and to invest in renewable sources of energy like solar, wind, hydropower and nuclear.
The BJP leader also discussed the need for public policy changes to provide incentives for increasing investments in renewable sources of energy and to create an environment where these sources of energy can be competitive.
Kavinder concluded his visit by saying that the University is taking a step forward in the right direction and expressed confidence that with right efforts and dedication, they will be able to create an encouraging environment for growth and development of renewable energy resources in India.
