JAMMU, Dec 16: A delegation of All J&K Unemployed Tourism Professionals Association/Tourist Facilitators called on former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta at BJP head quarters.
They appealed him to take matter of implementation of Rehbar-e-Sayahat Scheme framed in Tourism Department with Lt Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu for issuing approval to the same.
Others who were present in the meeting were BJP Mahila Morcha President Rajni Sethi and Mahila Morcha State General Secretary Sanjita Dogra.
Gupta was apprised that there are more than 1200 unemployed Tourism Post Graduates and tourist facilitators.
He was further apprised that the matter is under consideration and the youth are running from pillar to post for the favourable framing of policy on the pattern of Rehbar-e-Janglat, Rehbar-e-Taleem, Rehbar-e-Zirat and Rehbar-e- Pashopallan.
The candidates appealed to take the matter with Union Government also so that the justice is done to the aggrieved. They handed over the representation to be forwarded to the concerned for early approval of the cases.
Gupta while assuring the delegation that the matter will be discussed with Lt. Governor and with Union Government, said that this type of discrimination is unacceptable.
He said that BJP believes in ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’.
Meanwhile, a delegation from Vinayak Nagar Muthi also met Kavinder Gupta at his residence and discussed their problems of water logging, frequent power cuts, water supply problem in addition to damages caused by heavy rains to lanes, drains and private properties in the area.
Gupta while interacting with them said that he had already discussed the matter with the concerned authorities for the early redressal of the problems being faced by the people.
He said that the Modi Government is committed for undertaking equitable development of all the three regions of the State so that it comes up as one of the model States of the country.
He further said Jammu city has been included in the list of ‘Smart City’ by the Central Government.
