JAMMU, Dec 20: BJP senior leader and former Deputy CM, Kavinder Gupta held a meeting with Bihar Deputy Chief Minister, Tarkishore Prasad in New Delhi, in which threadbare discussions were held about the political situation. Kavinder also enlightened the Bihar Deputy CM about the latest scenario in J&K especially with regard to politics and security front.
Meanwhile Kavinder Gupta in a statement welcomed the Delimitation Commission’s proposed plan for increasing six Assembly seats in Jammu province and one in the Valley.
He said that the delimitation exercise which was held in 1996 in J&K was nothing but a lopsided decision only to appease the Kashmir-centric political outfit National Conference (NC). He said that the decision taken at that time was apparently due to the binding of contentious Article 370 and the arbitrary hegemony of the so-called Kashmiri leadership.
He said that soon after the completion of the delimitation exercise it is likely that a popular Government would take over the administration and people will get their representatives once again working for their welfare.
