NEW DELHI, Aug 27: Kavinder Gupta, senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former Deputy Chief Minister has slammed the Congress Working Committee (CWC) member and former Member of Parliament, Tariq Hameed Karra for accusing Bharatiya Janata Party of being behind Ghulam Nabi Azad’s resignation and for stating that Azad has fallen victim to BJP’s fragmentation process initiated to destroy Congress party. He asserted that Ghulam Nabi Azad has in fact fallen victim to the ‘Dynastic Politics’ in Congress which under all circumstances wants to retain the Congress leadership in the hands of Gandhi Family.
While talking to media persons at New Delhi, the senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader said that his party is not even remotely linked to Ghulam Nabi Azad’s resignation or the party’s internal bickering. He said that BJP has its own cadre with top leadership believing in party’s complete internal democracy unlike the Congress which has thrown democratic norms to tatters. He asserted that Bharatiya Janata Party is not affected by anybody’s joining or leaving the Party no matter how big or small the stature of the person may be.
Coming down heavily on Tariq Hamid Karra, the former Deputy Chief Minister advised him to focus on taking care of himself and his Congress Party which seems to have finally reached the status of a rudderless and directionless sinking ship with sycophants of Sonia and family ruling the roost in the party at the mercy of the Gandhi family. He said that Karra must go through M Mallikarjun Kharge’s today’s statement in which he said, “We will force Rahul Gandhi to become Congress chief, he would be pursued to return as Congress President as there is none in the party other than him who has a pan-India appeal.” He said that this statement is ample evidence of the fact that Congress believes only and only in dynastic politics sans any internal democracy in the party.
Meanwhile, Kavinder Gupta also met several deputations at New Delhi and took stock of their issues. He, while giving a patient hearing, assured for early redressal of their demands.
