JAMMU, Dec 9: Well known and internationally renowned cultural critic Ravinder Kaul shall represent India at the XVI Edition of Europe Theatre Prize being held at Rome from December 12 till December 17, 2017.
In the several seminars being organised on the occasion, he shall speak about the theatre scene in India in general and J&K State in particular. Kaul has also been involved in the process of selection of candidates for various prizes that shall be given away at a grand ceremony to be held at Teatro Argentina in Rome on December 17 this year.
A video recording of the play “Ishq Malangi”, based on the short stories of noted Punjabi writer Khalid Husain and directed by Mushtaq Kak, will also be screened for the connoisseurs of theatre from across the globe.
Earlier, Ravinder Kaul has represented India at the XII Edition of Europe Theatre Prize at Thessaloniki, Greece in 2008, XIII Edition at Wroclaw, Poland in 2009 and XIV Edition at St. Petersburg, Russia in 2011.
