JAMMU, Dec 9: Former minister and senior Congress leader, Raman Bhalla said that ‘BJP-PDP’ is solely responsible for the overall mess, mis-governance and administrative anarchy through which the State is going through presently.
Calling upon Coalition Government to come clean on public issues, former minister said that the Government in State has failed to deliver on the ground and promises made to people have fallen flat.
Addressing public gathering at Sunjwan today, Bhalla said the coalition partners instead of working sincerely for the welfare and well being of the people, remained busy in their personal welfare, least bothering about the people of the State. Their promise of providing jobs to unemployed youth remained confined to the papers only.
Bhalla further said that there was  need to give hike to the pension for old people, widows, handicapped, orphans and students. The unemployment problem which has assumed alarming propositions should be taken up by the Government on priority. He expressed grave concern over the deprivation of thousands of eligible persons under various welfare measures envisaged for the poor and destitute people under various State and Central schemes.
While highlighting governance deficit in the State, Bhalla said there was no sign of governance in the State.   He  said that the basic needs of  one’s life becoming un affordable day by day due to soaring inflation. And the worst hit are the housewives, whose monthly budget has gone awry due to spiraling price hike of vegetables and fruits due to inflation.  Households in the City are finding it hard to manage their monthly budget because of skyrocketing prices, he added.
