Kathua police traces 2 missing girls, lady

KATHUA, June 29: Kathua police under the overall supervision of SSP, R C Kotwal today solved two kidnapping cases and traced out two minor girls who were reunited with their family members.
Police said yesterday two minor girls namely Anjali Devi daughter of Ram Krishan of Ward No. 12 and Hussan Banno daughter of Hashim Din of Matore were traced out against which cases were registered at Police Station (PS) Kathua vide FIR No. 285/2020 and 237/2021 U/S 363/IPC. Both of these girls have been recovered due to persistent and sincere efforts of the Kathua police and reunited them with family members after completion of all legal formalities.
While in another instance Police in Kathua have traced out a lady who was missing since 29.12.2020 and reunited her with family members. On December 29 last year a missing report was lodged at PS Kathua by the one of the family member of lady stating therein that his daughter namely Yasmeen Begum wife of Taseen Akhter of Drabshalla, Kishtwar at present Magarkhad tehsil and district Kathua is missing. Accordingly a missing report was lodged at PS Kathua and search to trace her was started. Acting instantly on the missing report, lady was traced out today and immediately handed over to her legal heirs after completion of all legal formalities.
