JAMMU, May 15th: District police Kathua solved hit and run accident case within an hour of the incident in which one person lost his life.
Reports revealed that Incident took place at NHW at Kalibari Kathua when a pedestrian namely Sansar Singh, S/o Janak Singh, R/o Pallad Kathua was hit by Mahindra load carrier bearing registration number PB08EF-9714 being driven rashly and negligently.
The vehicle was on way to Punjab and it fled away from the spot after accident.
Police after receiving the information rushed to the spot and shifted the victim to DH Kathua. Police instantly sounded alert to all the checkpoints especially on NHW. Police team led by Incharge Police Post, Hatli with swift response succeeded in intercepting the vehicle near Kharote Morh and apprehended its driver namely Balkar Singh, S/o Dalbir Singh R/o Bilour, Pathankot Punjab.
Police team took driver into custody and also seized the vehicle.
