Kathua Police rescues 13 bovine animals

KATHUA, May 11: Continuing its endeavor to thwart the evil  designs of the bovine smugglers, Kathua Police on the directions of SSP Kathua succeeded in  foiling another  bovine smuggling bid in the jurisdiction of Police Post Nagri and rescued 13 bovine animals.
Acting on tip off, during the wee hours today, a team of Police Post Nagri led by SI Vikas Jasrotia, incharge Police Post Hatli laid a naka in Goondh area.
During checking a truck bearing registration number PB11BK 9775 was found carrying bovine animals. In this process police rescued 13 bovine animals being smuggled in the vehicle.
Accordingly a case FIR No 161/2018 U/S 188 RPC, 3/5 PCA Act was registered at PS Kathua and the vehicle was seized.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
