KATHUA, July 25: In yet another stringent action against drug menace, a team of Police Station Kathua seized 505 Parvon Spas Plus contraband intoxicant capsules and arrested a drug peddler wanted for supplying drugs in the area.
Team of Police Station Kathua during checking duty at Bhagthali Kathua apprehended one drug peddler namely Nitin Singh @ Tinu, S/o Balbir Singh R/o W.No. 7 Sher Singh Mandi Kathua and seized 505 banned intoxicant capsules from his illegal possession.
Police Station, Kathua registered a case FIR No. 241/19 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act against both the accused. Further investigation into the case is going on.
Kathua police is striving hard and taking every possible step to make people especially youth aware to eradicate drug menace. Police has reiterated its appeal to people of the area to come forward and share information about drug peddling or consumption with police for the cause. Their identity will be kept confidential, a senior police officer of the district said.
