Kashmiri Pandit bodies to take out ‘Samman Yatra’

NEW DELHI,  Jan  4:  Various Kashmir Pandit organisations have decided to take out `Samman Yatra’ to spread message of peace and love and acknowledge the supreme sacrifice of great Sikh Guru  Sri Tegh Bahadur Ji from the Union capital.
A spokesman of the organising committee said that journey of the members of Kashmiri Pandit community to Anandpur Sahib will be the journey towards acknowledgement of the sacrifice of the great Guru. “ We have decided to gather at  Gurdwara Sisganj, Delhi on January 6, 2018 and march towards Gurdwara Sri Kesgarh  Anandpur Sahib. This will give us opportunity to bow our heads before the `great Gurus who laid down their lives for humanity and Hindus by sacrificing their entire family. This yatra would acknowledge and renew the age old foundation for Kashmir Pandit/ Hindu-Sikh relationship,” the spokesman added.
He further disclosed that   Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee   and Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee have extended their full cooperation and support  to the Yatra.
The spokesman said that  Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib’s  `Sahadat’ was not only saviour of the  Kashmiri Pandits but of  the entire Hindu society to save them from the religious intolerance and torture by the cruel Mughal emperor, Aurangzeb.    Guru Tegh Bahadur laid down his life and that of his son Sarbansdani, Guru Gobind Singh ji, and his four sons and followers towards the cause. Such a ‘Shahdats’ have to be acknowledged and honoured, he added.
He further said that Priti Sapru along with entire community of Kashmiri Pandits, supported by all the social organisations, including All India Kashmiri Samaj (AIKS), Jammu Kashmir Vichar Manch, Kashyap Kashmir Sabha  Gurgaon, Kashmiri Sewak Samaj  Faridabad,  Kashmiri Pandit Sabha Amritsar, KSS Chandigarh, Kashmiri Sabha Ambala, Kashmiri Pandit Sabha Panchkula, Panun Kashmir (Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo Group),   Kashmiri Hindu Welfare Society Kangra, Kashur Sahmuth & Kashmir Milchar Welfare Association, Ghaziabad, Satisar Society, Harmukh Charitable Society, Vipin Garden, Jagti Camp inmates, Sports fraternity of Delhi – NCR etc put in great effort in giving direction and organising this Sanmaan Yatra, 2018. Swami Kumar Ji Maharaj of Geeta Satsang Ashram Muthi, Jammu  will lead the yatra.
